POINT-OF-WORK:  Pushing the Stone

When it seems like we’re pushing a stone uphill over and over…maybe we should stop…leave the stone where it is… go up to the top (of the organization) and confirm if a stone like we’ve been pushing for years is even needed. We must change the conversation if new thinking will ever emerge. More specifically, enable a strategic re-think…to drive our efforts to enabling and sustaining measurable performance results in the workflow and multiple Points-of-Work.

PERFORMANCE SUPPORT – Converging Learning with Point-of-Work

A perfect storm of increasing demand to remain competitive and the continuous nature of change have effectively flanked the traditional Training Paradigm. L&D cannot keep pace. Even with smaller micro-learning objects, agile design, rapid development, and mobile delivery tactics, the solutions remain focused on pushing potential…not performance.

L&D: Chasing Right Outcomes With Wrong Outputs

We cannot begin the effort by looking through a “training solution lens”. I can always build training IF NECESSARY. BUT…if emphasis is not first laser-focused on what solution output closes the performance gap(s) at Point-of-Work,  the traditional default training solution may well be the wrong output.
