Multiple Faces of AI – What’s Behind the Mask/
I’ve recently noticed questions from previous author spotlight interviews follow a similar theme. Should we fear Artificial Intelligence (AI)? Apparently, the fictional storyline in the Dreamscape Conspiracy Series validates a growing population of individuals who fear impending disaster.
There is another segment of the population that openly embraces AI and what it can do and already does for us transparently behind the scenes to make life easier. Personally, I am in both camps, and which camp I’m in is a dynamic alliance based on whether AI falls into the wrong hands and evil intent is afoot.
In Dreamscape Conspiracy, in the 4th book, “Dead Thoughts,” the AI accomplishes things never thought possible. In the 5th book, “Untethered,” AI evolves and takes on Humanoid form, and the rules of engagement between Humanoid and human (organic) up the ante. In the 6th book, “Undaunted,” which is in progress for release later this fall, evil shows up… and that, my friends, is worth fearing when AI-driven Humanoids walk among us. (Sorry, no spoiler here…)
This quote by C.S. Lewis sums up advice for the fearful population pretty well:

Here is a link to Chapter 20 in book #5, “Untethered,” where Amelia Amethys, the arrogant Humanoid AI, gets handed her comeuppance by an ‘inferior’ organic neurosurgeon, Dr. Celeste Killington, with AIMEE having Celeste’s back; an interesting dynamic for certain. I believe I cheered after writing this piece…No, I’m not invested in the story until I am.
Learning by Living: Precisely how we learn… Never Trust an AI
