Authenticity In Fiction
“Fear the Jump”
Dreamscape Conspiracy – Book #3

I realize I write fiction, but it can become painfully real when I seek to add authenticity. Here’s a short snippet from “Fear the Jump” in which former Marine Force Recon Scout Sniper Russell Carter is interviewed…

“I know I have PTSD; my shrink at the VA diagnosed it several years ago and put me on some meds that changed who I was. I hated it and swore that I would never again put poison into my body to attack the poison in my mind.”

That was heavy, and I could not add anything at all to the truth of a single soldier that defined his ongoing battle. Why add anything when the pain and struggles with PTSD are not fiction at all for so many?

Peace! G.
