Gary G. Wise is a redeployed, unsupervised, and occasionally undisciplined Writer of Things living as a free-range author under the influence of the relentless Wench Muse, who manages to remain just out of reach. He punched out of corporate life six years ago and is now a recovering Corporate Training and Performance Consultant of 30+ years, convinced that retirement is an unacceptable destination. He has chosen to redirect his remaining trips around the sun, writing fictional thrillers with a twist of mystery, sci-fi, suspense, and a dash of paranormal…and not necessarily in that order…or in the same book.
So far, he has written five novels under the relentless Wench Muse’s influence. His first novel, “Mirror Mirror: Halloween Party of the Century,” served as personal validation for him to listen to and submit to Her influences. Giving in to Her touch, he wrote four more novels in a four-book series, “Dreamscape Conspiracy,” and a collection of short stories and other bizarre thoughts and embellishments of truth called “Always a Story.”

He offers no excuses or apologies for his dry humor and twisted thoughts, often embedded throughout his stories. He loves the thrill of writing a thriller and reads/writes accordingly. And no, he’s not a robot; he is 100% organic. And he’s not an AI, but that may be a future story.
He refuses to usurp the chemistry of imagination and creativity with his relentless Wench Muse with a software algorithm like AI that cannot think or feel. He’s not anti-AI; he simply lives by a defined boundary:
A compelling story must come from the author’s heart, not a software algorithm.
His grandfather, a master storyteller, would roll in his grave if Gary let a software algorithm write a story for him. He feels strongly that his readers deserve better.
More importantly, the relentless Wench Muse threatened to strangle him should he betray their trust and be unfaithful by working with some skank AI app. He’s not a cheater, but that’s another story for another day…
He loves to write and willingly confesses, “I love nothing better than to embrace my relentless Wench Muse and disappear completely into a story with Her for hours. I often invade characters’ heads or hearts until their stories are entirely told or their lies strategically placed.”
