This is the kind of review that keeps the creative juices flowing. Thank you goes to the person who shared these words of encouragement!

The relationship between Cara and Russ has something the other needs, but they only realize how much once realities violently rewrite their dreams. Dreamscape Conspiracy was a blast to write, getting to know these two characters. From that I discovered there would be another book to continue where their story led me. And it did—three more times, actually.
This second book was a surprise that pushed me forward with more of the story. It’s funny, the story has action sequences I love to write, but the characters developing have me captivated. I love third person narrative point of view, and getting into each head is where the story seems to build. As an author, I have the chance of being in a character’s head/heart. That’s where the real story unfolds. In “Fear the Jump,” the next book, my imprint on the mind of a character will be joined with an imprint left by the AI – Artificial Intelligence Matrixed for Evolving Environments or just AIMEE. AIMEE did jump, but not where Cara feared she’d go…
An AI supposedly has no emotions or feelings and virtually none of the senses of an organic, which is what AIMEE calls humans. Take emotions ranging from pleasure to rage and plug them into an AI with no experience or context, and you have, lets’ say…opportunities.
How far can they trust an AI with access to every team member’s mind? The AI had enabled huge successes, so they could not afford to have AIMEE’s servers powered down. They needed to embrace AI-empowered thinking, which proved to be more painful to some than others.
Here’s a short treat of my new novel, “Dead Thoughts,” which hopefully will be released later in the fall. The first three books in the series lead up to this finale. This will be the fourth book in the “Dreamscape Conspiracy” series found on Amazon. Please enjoy! Take Good Care! G.
“Dead Thoughts” is the fourth book in the Dreamscape Series and is under development for release this fall. The series started as a single book, but as often happens, the tale took me well beyond that first installment, proof that I am dealing with a relentless Muse. After failing at retirement, I’ve redeployed my time and role as a Writer of Things and find that job fits nicely in an unsupervised environment. My Muse sets my schedule and, as I said, is as relentless as any female I’ve ever met, especially when she sits with her knees on my chest and softly whispers, “You’re not done yet, sweetie. You’ll be done when I say you’re done.”
And so it is with my life.
Devious and deceptive undercurrents are at work to exploit the Dreamscape technology driven by greed and personal gain. Big Pharma wants to destroy Dreamscape and anyone attached to the research to protect big-money investments in the pharmaceutical industry threatened by Cara’s breakthrough discovery. Cara and Russ have what the other needs, but neither realizes how much until attempts to eliminate their technology and themselves surface to rewrite their dreams violently.
Gary Wise is an unsupervised writer living as a free-range author under the influence of a relentless Muse. He’s a recovering Performance Consultant of 35+ years convinced retirement is unacceptable and has chosen to redeploy his remaining trips around the sun writing fictional thrillers with a twist of mystery, sci-fi, and some with paranormal hijinks on the side, and not necessarily in that order.
