Wounds heal, but scars last a lifetime.
They say, “Living with grief is a journey.” To me, it’s more than a journey because journeys have beginnings and ends, defined starting points and specific destinations.
Loss has a defined starting point when grief begins, but there is no destination, no end, no cure. There is an evolution as you move forward and learn to remember the good behind the scars, rather than lingering and isolating with the wounds.
It’s good not to be alone during this season, and Jesus is a great companion to move forward with, as we can reach out to Him for comfort through prayer and petition.
“Lord, do not forsake me; do not be far from me, my God.”
Psalms 38:21 NIV
You may be by yourself, but you are never alone!
Peace! G.
