“Dreamscape Conspiracy” is a five-book sci-fi thriller series. This portfolio includes brief recaps of all five books. Each can be enjoyed as a stand-alone thriller; however, the richness of many references woven throughout from the beginning will be missed. Consider them all to enjoy the whole story.

Book #1 – “Dreamscape Conspiracy”
A timeline of a bizarre chain of events unfolds, originating from an accidental discovery in the unremarkable Psychology Department at Central State University in North Carolina. The CSU research team of four does not even rate a mention in their research community. They received more than a dot on the map when an accident in the laboratory changed everything.
Their core research involved capturing dreams, analyzing them, and mapping Dream prints for deeper categorization and indexing using Dreamscape 1.0 technology, the primary technology for capturing dreams. When they accidentally discovered Dreamscape could not only capture dreams but also transmit previously captured dreams to other dreamers.
That discovery snowballed, and the research boosted CSU’s standing in the community. Results evolved quickly, revealing the potential to construct dreams to aid in the healing of afflictions like PTSD, Anxiety, Depression, and others, putting CSU squarely in the crosshairs of Big Pharma’s map.
A former Marine Force Recon Scout Sniper, Russell Carter, is a key character and the benefactor of this PTSD healing discovery. Big Pharmaceutical companies were neither happy nor impressed and took drastic steps to eliminate Dreamscape and the research team that worked on the project. The lives and safety of the research team are challenged by deception and physical attack, making it easy for the former Marine to join the research team. Dr. Cara Williams, the research team leader, who has sworn off men after surviving an abusive relationship, is not so sure after meeting the tender-hearted and quite lethal Russell Carter. Russ has not considered himself worthy of being in a relationship because of his past. Time may heal wounds as a relationship begins to form…against both of their wishes.

Dr. Cara Williams has dedicated the last three years of her life to capturing and mapping dreams as part of her Dream Weaver research. Using Dreamscape technology and a Neuronet device, her team is able to record dream prints of a participant’s REM dreams and capture them for storage on their Dreamscape servers. However, during the debrief of a participant’s dream, Dr. Williams realizes subject DR-12’s dream is identical to that of CM-22, a disturbing one that tests her faith and morality alike.
The discovery of a lab accident incidentally uncovers the ability of their technology to transmit previously captured dreams to other subjects. This finding has immense implications as Dr. Cara Williams seeks funding for Phase 2 with these new project applications. But the capabilities for this research to treat psychological illnesses such as depression, PTSD, and more through the uploading of dreams, feelings, and emotions while a patient sleeps is a direct threat to those in the business of medicating illnesses. The web of conspiracy that follows will leave readers at the edge of their seats as the implications, threats, and reverberating consequences unravel.
Author Gary G. Wise expertly pens a chilling science fiction-esque thrill ride. From the laboratory to the gun range, chili diner, and warehouses, “Dreamscape Conspiracy” is an exciting and thought-provoking adventure. Smart and driven Dr. Cara Williams and ex-military, fifth-year senior Russell Carter make for two intriguing characters. As the plot progresses, and these two unlikely main characters draw together, a David and Goliath story begins to emerge.
“Dreamscape Conspiracy” is just the beginning. Wise has crafted an all too scary and realistic read in a time of big pharma. But “you cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons too” as readers are left pondering Dr. William’s choices and the fate of this discovery (p. 214).
