Author Thought – 020725 – On “Puye Prophecy”

Duwit chonah mowna jawneek. That phrase comes up numerous times in “Puye Prophecy,” and it references a “carrier of spirits,” not to the dismay of Katherine Jackson. “There’s no Indian princess spirit in me.” She never wanted to be a part of any of this Indian voodoo and yet she fell into a dream that changed her life.
